rock skipping contest results announced

Orne’s Candy Store’s 13th Rock Skipping Contest took place over the weekend. The skippers braved a chilly, rainy day to participate in this contest.

Mike “Skimpy” Godsy was the winner in the men’s group, with 20 skips.

Winning among the women was Kristin “Skipalicious” Carbone with 11 skips.

Noah “IN15” O’Neill won in the boys category with a total of 14 skips.

Cassidy “Rock Caster” MacKay won among the girls with a total of 6 skips.

The competition took in $235, which will be donated to the Boothbay Region Food Pantry.
